Directions: From Portland take I-5 to Tigard/Newberg exit. Proceed on Hwy 99W to Newberg ( about 30 min. South of Portland). Continue West through Newberg to light at Hancock and Main. Left on Main through next light. Left into Nap's parking lot.
Description: NEW ROUTE - PAST and PRESENT - You will visit Hillcrest Cemetery with views overlooking the surrounding hillside, (Hrs. 9-6:00) then through a peaceful, beautiful, residential estate neighborhood. Continue through town viewing historic buildings and the Hoover-Minthorn House. This was the home of President Herbert Hoover (31st US President), where he grew up after being orphaned. It is now a museum, brochures available on front porch. Open Wed-Sun 1-4:00pm. Then you will visit areas of George Fox College, with more buildings offering architectural details.
